Ever since my cousin Abby started her love affair with cooking, we’ve come up with specialized themes for special days in our family. For this year’s Mothers’ Day, we decided for a Filipino themed dinner set at our house (since most of our things belong in that category). We worked with what we have and we’re all so pleased with the results! It’s because the cousins come from different backgrounds and expertise.
On the food: Ate Kat and Abby are in the food catering business. They manage events and even supply pastries and/ or drinks during debuts and weddings. Angel is also in the food/ service business and will soon head a Jollibee franchise owned by her family. Punong abala silang tatlo♥ We’re so blessed we have them to spearhead this event.
On the setting and decoration: We all had a hand in the decision but I managed the place with the help of everyone 🙂 My brother Enchong is also an architect (I’m claiming it!), we have Derrick (also studying architecture) and Rafael who is so good at composition.
Technical and muscle support: Derwin the driver and boss of the servers (haha), Domnic for the music++
All-around jack of all trades: Joan, Janelle and EG. Entertained the mommies, keeping a calm cool face in the front line.
We all got it from our mama 😉
