A different kind of House.

It’s not so often that we get to do something so ornate as Jose Maria Escriva Parish in Gerona, Tarlac. It has been a beautiful collaboration of people and we’re so happy to be a part of the only shrine dedicated to the patron saint. It’s design is by Fr. Alex O. Bautista, my HOA professor back in UST♥ with the help of artists, professionals, craftsmen, suppliers, etc. etc. It’s one of the most beautiful modern churches I’ve been to. It’s designed to be a “drive thru” church where you can just literally stop by and pray. You can view the retablo from the outside!

It has that old school feel without the stuffiness. It feels so intimate and it does make you feel like you are in the presence of God. Even without the trompe l’oeil, the big santos or the stations of the cross inside, you won’t be disappointed with the aesthetics brought in here. It’s just sincere artistry made concrete. Thank you for the experience!
